NORTHWEST
DISTRICT ATHLETIC BOARD Mac Morrison Lifetime Service Award |
In an attempt to recognize various individuals who have made noticeable
contributions (in the area of athletics) to the young people within the schools
of the jurisdiction of the Northwest District Athletic Board, said Board wishes
to consider persons who may be worthy of recognition.
It should be understood that the Northwest District Board would welcome
the recognition of Coaches, Administrators, League Commissioners, Scorers,
Timers, and Officials, just to mention a few possibilities. The Board is basically interested in
considering anyone who has made contributions to the young people of our member
schools.
Once an individual has been nominated, the Board will decide whether or
not the individual should receive recognition.
If a person is to be recognized, it will take place in a formal fashion
at the Fall gathering of all Principals and the
members of the Northwest District Athletic Board. The nature of the award will be determined by
the Northwest District Athletic Board.
Submitting of candidates must conform to the following criteria:
1. Individuals may be considered that are
nominated by:
a. Any coaching or
officials organization
b. Any Board of
Education
c. Superintendent,
Principal, Athletic Director
2. The submitting may be in any particular form,
but must contain a statement of
reason/s the
Board is being asked to consider said person for recognition.
3. There
will be no particular time limit for submitting - only with the
understanding
that if it is determined that recognition is to be given at
the Fall meeting
with Principals, materials must be in the hands of the
Board by AUGUST 1
of each school year.
4. It should be understood that the Board has no
particular timetable that it needs
to keep with
respect to such recognition.
5. Again, the mere submitting of a candidate
does not guarantee automatic
recognition.
